I created UK Law with Gabriel as a space for making UK law clearer, more accessible, and intellectually honest.
WHO’S BEHIND THIS SITE?
I am Gabriell, a law student with an early and long-standing passion for law — the kind that has always felt closer to a personal fascination (and, at times, a hobby) than a purely academic pursuit. My academic journey began in São Paulo, Brazil, where I first studied law, and continues in Scotland, where I now live and study.
With a particular interest in UK law — especially immigration and human rights — this site reflects both my ongoing learning process and my effort to explain legal concepts, cases, and methods with clarity and care.
HOW I APPROACH THE LAW
Law is often presented in ways that obscure understanding rather than encourage it. Here, the focus is on clarity, context, and careful reasoning, using real examples to make legal ideas more intelligible.
At its core, this website reflects a clear position: law and justice are not the same, and making this distinction visible matters if we are to understand how the law operates in practice.
What continues to fascinate me about law is how much turns on reasoning — and how the same facts can lead to different outcomes depending on how an argument is framed and justified.
WHO THIS IS FOR
This space is for law students, curious non-law readers, friends and anyone interested in understanding how UK law works in practice.
Looking forward to reading your thoughts on this! See you soon !
